We recorded and watched the first episode of this yesterday afternoon. To say that it is compelling is an understatement. Regardless of what you think that you know, or where you stand on illegal immigration, it will challenge your beliefs.

I see Kitchen Nightmares is back... my guilty pleasure. Looking forward to seeing that, but not much time to watch TV these days.

Portlandia
I've become a fan and look forward to each new episode. Stumbled upon it somewhere a few months ago and started with season 1 - which was weird, but it had some great sketches and it hooked me. I think it suffered from disjointed sketches and continuity gaps early on, but I watched every episode from all the seasons and got caught up to present. It has gotten so much better and it's become a favorite! Hilarious!

Fresh off the Boat
It's new - and it has funny moments. Going to stick with it and see if anything materializes.

Repeat After Me
Hilarious. I'm a fan of hidden camera shows to begin with and this one nearly makes me pee my pants laughing.

I caught the Fresh off the Boat this week. Not sure if it was just a single terrible episode, but the acting was pretty bad and the story was very awkward. My ex was an asian adopted by a jewish family too, so I did find that side story pretty funny.

My comment to John after that episode: "this show is going to be cancelled soon."

Do try "Repeat After Me". It's on Hulu plus. Start at the beginning though, as this week's episode was not as funny. Some lady from the Goldbergs hosts it. I think you said you like that show.

One Big Happy is a new NBC sitcom that starts on Tuesday. Produced by Ellen Degeneres so I think it has potential. I'm going to tune in.
