Does anyone have any info on "No Trespassing" signs?

Postby Squire » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:41 pm

Hello all! I am new to the forum and this website and I have a question, I hope I have posted it to the correct place, if not I apologize. My husband and I have some beautiful property up in Ulster County NY and we just purchased "posted no trespassing signs". I was told by a friend that there are regulations on where, how high and how far apart they need to be posted (and also that they need to be signed by the owner). I'm not sure if that is true, I'm having difficulty finding anything online. Does anyone have any information on that and if so could the provide me with a link so that I can print it out for my husband. Thanks so much! :D

You should get them up soon. In general it is wise to have them up before fall turkey season opens, but crucial to have them up before deer gun season opens. While we don't actually "sign" ours, we include our last name, address and phone number so that hunters can contact us if they need to track a wounded animal onto our property. And, welcome to the community!
