While on a Fall Foliage drive yesterday through the Adirondacks, my family and I stopped to see Auger Falls. Very nice trail - about 3/4 mile or so to get to the falls. The falls themselves are very cool, with interesting rock formations. However, I found it a little treacherous to try to get too close, as the terrain is at an angle. (I'm not as daring as I was in my younger years.)

Worth a stop off point if your are traveling on Rte. 30 in the 'Dacks. Do be careful though, when trying to get close to these falls.

Thanks Richie for sharing. With having a family, it just isn't worth being too daring. How was the foliage trip?

Sorry for not responding - I just noticed there was a reply here. That time of year is always great for foliage in the Adirondacks -they were pretty close to peak that second week of October.
