Darien Lake Theme Park

I haven't been there since it was operated by Six Flags. I used to enjoy it quite a bit. The Mind-eraser is a complete piece of shit and I hate it, but the Viper is an all-time classic.
I have no idea how this park is today. I see it's operated by the same group that operates Dollywood.
I checked reviews, which lean towards it being worth it, but a lot of really bad reviews. I just can't tell if that's due to nostalgia, people growing up, or visiting on a busy/bad day for the park.
Thinking of heading there this month. Any thoughts, comments?
