I'm sure it originated (the breaded version) in the UK and France, but the tradition of Fish and Chips on Friday... at least int he US seems to be an Upstate thing.

Also Chicken, Fish, Veal "French" seems to be a Rochester thing. I haven't had a "French" dish in years, but I recall it being a pretty safe flavor.

All of that ketchup should be replaced with an equal amount of Frank's.

Not sure why Man V Food's episode tonight will be titled NASCAR for a small segment at Watkins Glen, when it is the Rochester episode.

Cover's:
Nick Tahou's
Nick Tahou's is a must-go in Rochester, the originators and copyright holders of the Garbage Plate – a regional staple.

Sticky Lips BBQ
Adam roots on pro-race car driver Joey Logano as he tries to take down the Atomic Bomb Challenge -- 30 minutes to finish a 3-lb. bacon double cheeseburger loaded with pulled pork and hot meat sauce over a pound of fries.

Campi's
Adam's mouth is watering for Campi's steak bomber: a hot sub sandwich stuffed with grilled steak, topped with melted provolone, grilled onions, bell peppers, banana peppers, mushrooms and hot meat sauce.

Pizza Stop
Voted the best NY style pizza in Rochester, The Pizza Stop has been in business for 25 years.

I have been to all... love Campi's and I am glad that small urban spot is getting some attention. The Pizza Stop is just NY pizza (NY pizza is that thin cheese pizza that evolved out of intense pizzeria competition in NY where shops had to sell larger, thin and skimpy topping pizzas to compete on price and size... I don't necessarily thing that style of pizza is better pizza. The "Stop" is a small take-out joint near my house where the workers/service is rude and obnoxious. Did the new Sticky Lips location open?

Been waiting to see this since I first heard about it.

I was wondering if Sticky Lips opened too. And while on the subject of restaurants opening...what about Mighty Taco?
