When you get those millions just remember all your loyal NYFalls members. I'll mow your lawn for $2000.00 a week. Plus benefits of course.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

It makes me sad that those of us who grew up here can no longer afford to have lake property. When I was young (yes, back in the dark ages), everyone had family camps on the lake. Our cottage didn't even have a bathroom--we had an outhouse high on the bank above the lake. My last "holdout" friend sold his family's lake property a month or so ago to a wealthy real estate broker who is already building yet another McMansion along our "gold coast." The taxes became too much to bear, even on one of the few vacant parcels that remained. Our lake access is now, for the first time in my life, limited to public parks and launches. It makes for a lovely drive along the lake though, to see all of those huge beautiful homes...

Same thing happens pretty much everywhere these days. I know people in the Adirondacks who have had lakefront for generations and the taxes just keep going up & up. A two-room shack with cold running water and an outhouse will cost you the same in taxes (or more) as your full home downstate with all the modern amenities.

I also like this bit of geologic inaccuracy: "Formed by retreating glaciers..." I'm pretty sure it was when the glaciers were advancing, not retreating, that the lakes were carved out. They were revealed when the glaciers retreated, maybe.....
