This story was on NBC news last night.
looks like people are making drones the enemy now - shooting at them and knocking them out of the sky

(until they need the technology, of course)

Be careful!

It's so dumb - yea, we're out there peeping trying to take beautiful pictures of natural landscape
Not to mention the actual even more practical applications of this. You could inspect all your fields in one 10 minute flight. It's nuts. How is it even different from flying a cessna and PEEPING on the people below you. People have been doing aerial photography for years. Furthermore, look at the resolution of the best satellite data. The government probably doesn't even need drones with the cameras they got up there.

That being said, here's a shot of Skaneateles and Otisco:

Hi everyone. I also see a drone in my future. I can get a DJI Phantom 2 with gimbal and rotor guards here in Bangkok for 38,000, or about $1,200.

I got the bug after watching this video shot in Thailand. Make sure to go HD and full screen. I believe this was shot in 2.7K then cropped

Here is the video:

Wow. That was great - especially the wonderful footage on the bridge/pier toward the end. A nice start to my day. Thanks, Andy!
