The purpose of these challenges is to encourage us to get out and get the best shot of an assigned subject. It's a great way to enhance your photography skills.
Even if you think you take crappy pictures, please join in. Those of you just reading the forum and not posting, this is your chance to join in and show off.

This month's challenge: "Lilacs and Festivals"

Only rules:
It has to be taken by you.
It has to be taken in Upstate NY. *

If only there were a Festival about Lilacs, then you May have an advantage in this month's challenge.

A winner will be selected based on the following criteria:
-freshness (have we seen it somewhere before or did you take it just for this challenge? - we prefer the latter!)
-frame
-subject
-creativity
-use of color (or lack thereof)
-uniqueness

* Photos taken outside of Upstate NY are welcome for display as long as they are labeled as such.

Where is everyone this month? ...including me!! ;)
Looks like Kelly is the only one with Lilacs on her mind.

I always manage to get to the festival for at least one evening and I went last week to see Rusted Root. Took LOTS of photos and plan to post a few before the month is over, for this challenge. I go for the people watching more than the flowers...so expect more faces than petals from me. Hope that's still in keeping with the subject.
