Monday - Picking my daughter up from Naz after her last final and moving her out of the dorm. It's been a quiet year. I'm guessing that's going to change

Fun photo. Hey George - are you sure you're old enough to have a daughter in college?

I know this is late, but I had to share it. This was taken today at Highland Park. Either someone lost a pair of sunglasses, or Sunglass Hut is opening a branch in Highland Park ;)

Oh to have seen this in April...I heard this really strange call just outside my office a short time ago. It's beautiful here now that the rain has passed, so my door is wide open. I immediately grabbed my camera and tiptoed over to the door, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was making that noise. I spotted a strange silhouette in an old apple tree on the other side of the driveway, so I started snapping pics while I zoomed in just for identification purposes. It was a green heron! I see them flying over almost daily, but there's really no reason for them to stop. It must be that there was enough water in the ditch beneath the tree after this morning's heavy rain to warrant a quick look for a snack.

The photo is right from the camera, and it's not worthy of even messing with, but I just wanted to share.

Those birds are incredibly wary, and very difficult to shoot. I've only gotten good pics of a green heron once. Never seen one in a tree, though. Good luck on your part to catch him!
