The purpose of these challenges are to encourage us to get out and get the best shot of an assigned subject. It's a great way to enhance your photography skills.
Even if you think you take crappy pictures, please join in. Those of you just reading the forum and not posting, this is your chance to join in and show off.

This month's challenge: Ice

there should be plenty of ice and snow this month, so finding a subject won't be a problem... but how do you capture ice and make it interesting?
Look for interesting colors shining through or reflecting off of the ice. Excellent lighting will hep you win this month's challenge.

The only other rule... it has to be taken in upstate NY.

This month's winner will get a brand new, ultra-bright, compact LED flashlight.

Ice Castle in Saranac Lake,
This is a week long event every February the ice is cut from the lake and the sculptures are built.
Sorry for the dirty window but we didn't stop to check it out.
