The Internship1/10 - What a piece of shit. This movie tries so hard, it just makes you feel sad for Google and for Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. STOP MAKING movies with these dickbags.

Three Days to Kill - 6/10 - decent enough story, more about a guy trying to reconnect with his family than being a contract killer for the CIA, with some humorous elements.

Pompeii - 4/10 - Titanic with a volcano instead of a sinking ship. Kudos for the ending where

So.....I saw my first Jackass movie.

Had no idea what to expect. It was all kinds of crazy and not half bad. The volcano and apple eating pig were my favorite pranks. I watched the entire thing with my jaw open and nearly puked at one point. But sure. . .I'd watch another.

Jackass 3D - 6 ish/10

Dallas Buyers Club - 9/10 - Excellent performances all around, but the story (which is loosely based on a real man and his business) begins to fall apart at the end.

Captain Phillips - 8/10 - Fascinating. And the performances are strong. But it lacks story. Phillips seems more like an object being bounced around by one-dimensional characters. And from interviews and such, Phillips was treated much worse than what was depicted in the film.

After the Dark 0/10 - Take a bunch of Hollister clothing models with horrible acting skills and throw them in some fantasy "philosophy" classroom where they reenact allegories in-between hypothetical scenarios in which they have one hour to decide which 10 of the 20 get to go in a bunker with an approaching nuclear war threatening to kill them all. Despite its unrealistic casting, over-the-top scenery, and over-used camera panning, it actually becomes very interesting at first. But then the boundaries between the re-enacted hypothetical story, and the real-world stories blur, and it makes no logical sense at all. It's deeply disappointing but at the same time widely revealing as to why this movie went strait to DVD. I turned it off about 2/3 of the way in because shockingly stupid and explainable things began to happen. The trailer was awesome. It actually won an award. But the movie takes the exciting premise and pisses all over it by horrible writing of the third act.
This movie was one titled "The Philosophers" but i think they were forced to change it because philosophers threatened to sue for defamation. ;)

The Station Agent - 10/10

Timeless. Believable. Slightly off-kilter. Understated yet powerful. Loved it!

The Lunchbox - 10/10

The 125 year old lunchbox delivery system (dabbawala) in India was something I had never heard of. Indian culture is fascinating enough - and when you throw in authentic cuisine and an unlikely friendship - I gotta see it. Admittedly, it's slow moving, but I wasn't disappointed. There's a lot to ponder.

Finding Vivian Maier - 10/10 - Had enormous expectations and was not disappointed one bit. A must see. Too bad Rochester doesn't give a f*** enough to bring it here.

Big Fish - 5/10 - Points for weirdness. But that's about it. Not horrible. Not great.

Dummy - 7/10 - Pretty good story. Entertaining enough.

Chef - 9/10 - The acting was actually really good. The food images were every bit as sumptuous and mouth watering as Scarlet Johansson is sexy. Was pleasantly surprised. Liked it verrrrry much. Not a 10 - but a winner. Some pretty good LOL moments. First movie I've been to in ages that the entire audience clapped at the end.

Inside Llewyn Davis - 9/10 - Wonderful slice of life about dreams, giving up on them, and coming back to them.
