Movie club?

Postby Matt » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:00 pm

Anyone have a blockbuster or netflix subscriptions and interested in starting up a club where we watch maybe a movie a week and discuss?

I prefer independent films over blockbusters, but could go either way.

Netflix here. I would be down for this as time allows, cant guarentee every week but could commit to once a month.

I'd love to, but we canceled Netflix due to the constant throttling we get (it would take 3 days to get a movie and 4 days for them to get it back) If we could go with stuff I can get locally I'd be game! We LOVE movies!

I'm kind of on a historical documentary rum now. If anyone is interested in war, I'll be watching Nanking (2007) this week.

Nanking on Amazon

"Nanking" tells the story of the rape of Nanking, one of the most tragic events in history. In 1937, the invading Japanese army murdered over 200,000 and raped tens of thousands of Chinese. In the midst of the horror, a small group of Western expatriates banded together to save 250,000 -- an act of extraordinary heroism. Bringing an event little-known outside of Asia to a global audience, "Nanking" shows the tremendous impact individuals can make on the course of history. It is a gripping account of light in the darkest of times.

I use Blockbuster rather than Netflix, as I was throttled by NF several years ago. BB returns my movies instantly.
