View of the Great Falls from view platform at the end of the boardwalk. In no way can the picture convey the sense of power the water projected even given the distance between the platform and the river.

My poor camera only had a limited field of view, so I had to take several shots to get the Falls and river.

And the last...

Now, 'technically' the Great Falls are a Maryland waterfalls because the state line between Maryland and Virginia is at the far bank of the river, not in the center like many other rivers on state borders. But that doesn't really matter at all to the Falls or to anyone viewing them. It's something that only a nerdy geeky type would even notice, much less mention.
