David, did you color correct or anything?

They are quite good for a video first device.

I did color correct each one. GoPro does not shoot in RAW, so i can't go back and see what I did. I recall reading an article (maybe you google: underwater color correction and photoshop) and see what comes up. Clearly, when I did the recommended steps, not only were the pics not green anymore, but the clarity and detail bounced out at me.

These were all taken in Cayman. I noticed all the local photographers who were selling prints, were using the GoPro3, except aa few very high end professionals. And they all knew how to do this, to bring out the colors. Again a sunny day is key for shutter speed issues.

You did a great job with the color corrections. Yeah, the pro equipment is so expensive.

The underwater housing for my main camera costs almost as much as my camera. Gopro housings are so cheap, and apparently reliable. Although I would probably be a bit scared dunking it for the first time.

I'm half-accepting that most of my gopro videos are going to be of me eating doritos on the couch.

Those are fantastic underwater photos!!

I plan on using my monopod, not only to get closer to the fish but also to wedge it into some coral and leave it there taking video or time lapse for a while.

Note that my Hero 3+ Black does have a type of RAW, at least for video (not sure for stills). I've seen tests using the remote through water, and it rarely can send a signal more than a couple of feet -- the signal is dispersed by the water.

I'm considering getting a housing for my 5D2, looking for a used one.
