This one (I'm guessing) is a Japanese Beetle, an invasive species.

All should know that this beetle is to scale, hold you hand up to the screen and it was really that big!

Take a hike along Canadice Lake and you'll find hundreds of these 6 inch long Milipedes.

Eastern Tent Caterpillar... millions of these on the Canadice Lake Trail. They pose a threat to both the forest and the water quality... as they defoliate trees and can carry bacterial parasites.

Mat... I was hoping to sometime take a hike along the west shore of Canadice Lake. Probably in the fall. Is there a defined trail along there or is there a lot of bushwhacking involved?

It's a well-defined trail, access road really... about 10 feet accross, covered in gravel.
