You are not crazy. I feel your pain.

Just over two years ago our family was driving back from a family trip on route 90 east, in the Rochester NY area. It was raining and an animal crossed in front of the car. Immediatly I yelled out "armadillo!". My family in turn all began to mock me. I know what a raccoon is, and what an opossum is. I can't think of any animal that could look enough like an armidillo for me to be confused.

I know what I saw. There have been more scientific research saying that they think the 9 banded armadillo may expand as far as New York and as east as Mass.
