I didn't see where anyone had posted information about Snook Kill Falls, but perhaps it was under another name. These falls are on the Snook Kill, in Wilton, NY. I took these on a bike ride to Lake Luzerne. The land isn't posted. It's a short but steep walk down to the base of the falls from the road. Probably the best place to park is on the same side of the road as the Snook Kill, just below the T intersection with Strakos Road. It's on a curve, so I'd suggest parking well off the road as a courtesy to drivers rounding the curve. Location: Intersection of Greenfield Road (County Rte 36) and Strakos Road; 43.1535 -73.7734. Also on page 20 of 'Waterfalls of NYS' by Ensminger/Schryver/Smathers.

I like the look of that falls. Narrow, over heavily fractured and jointed limestone. Very cool.

Didn't have the right shoes to get all the way to the base - nor did I have a tripod but here's what it looked like this week. Grateful for the discussion topic here. :)

Kelly: I really like the second photo better. Great colors in both of them.
