Have not been back there since that trip last year. I may try to see what's going on when I'm up there for the week of the 4th of July.

If you do, I look forward to hearing about it. We possibly will be traveling somewhere in the Adk this September. We now have two young girls so it will not be anything too extreme.

There is a marked trail that takes you to across the top of the falls that will get you to the Hudson Gorge. From the top looking back it's quite steep with lots of loose rock.

By taking the trail to the gorge you could possibly walk back up the creek to get to the base of the falls, note .8 miles to gorge and at least that to get back to the base of the falls. Over all the trail is well marked and very few muddy spots for now. It's 3 miles to the falls from the trail head which is .2 miles from the parking area.
